For international students

Please note!

Dear international students, we would like to remind you that at the moment only international citizens from those countries that are recommended by Rospotrebnadzor as countries with a safe epidemiological situation can enter Russia for studying.

As at 16.08.2021, the borders of the Russian Federation with most countries are closed. Entry for foreign citizens from the states of their nationality is allowed only through air checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation (only direct flights, without transfer).

Before entering the Russian Federation:

Before arriving in Russia, international students must inform the International Students Support Department by e-mail miep01@mail.ru at least 10 days in advance.

No earlier than 3 calendar days before arrival in Russia, you must do a PCR test for COVID-19 and, if the result is negative, get the certificate in your country in Russian or in English. Certificate is required for crossing the border.

After arrival in Russia:

Within 72 hours after arrival, retake the test for COVID-19 by PCR;

Observe the regime of self-isolation at the place of staying until a negative test result is received;

After receiving a negative result of the second test, you must contact the dean's office of the faculty to obtain admission to classes.

All foreign citizens entering the Russian Federation must be registered with the migration authorities. Without presenting a migration card with a mark of the border control authority on crossing the state border of the Russian Federation, it is impossible to put a foreign citizen on migration registration.

In accordance with Order No. 655 of the Federal Migration Service of Russia of December 15, 2014 N 655 "On approval of the procedure for the adoption by the territorial offices of the FMS of Russia of a decision to extend or shorten the period of temporary stay of a foreign citizen and stateless person in the Russian Federation", submission of documents for the extension of migration registration is carried out not later than 7 working days before the end of the period of stay of a foreign citizen.

Dear students, please note!  The inspector needs time to complete the documents. Apply for an extension of registration 3 weeks before its end!
